85% of the Nepali population depends on agriculture, which is a predominant profession in Nepal.
A heavy number of children are thus involved in this occupation from plantation to harvesting
and cattle grazing to fodder collection. The majority of these children never get a chance to enter school. Even if they do, 75% drop out before they complete primary education. Girls are even more discriminated; the school dropout rate for girls is very high in comparison to boys. Enrolment of boys from primary to secondary level of schooling is 60 percent while it is only 40 percent for girls. The school drop-out rate between primary and secondary level is 60 percent among girls and 40 percent among boys.

The condition is much harsher for poor, dalits and marginalized community. Their children are considered as labor force. Innocent parents prefer to send their children to work for household support rather than to schools due to the immediate return available by sending the children to work. 85% of Dalit enrolled children dropped out without completion of primary education. The education promotion fund is provision for supporting the family members who are from very low economic condition education welfare program supports liberating girls. Boys from poor community from the oppression of being sold by their parents to work as bonded laborers and to provide them with basic education.
HHH is working this project is focused in the Kavre District the boys are brought back to their village to live with their families. HHH pays their school expenses, they are provided with education material like school uniforms bags, school supplier and school fees. In order to compensate for their daughter, boys lost wages, parents are given a piglet or goat. Which they can sell for about the same amount they received for their daughter and boys labor.
